Definitive Contract

Overview

Government Description
Intelligent generation of tools for security (INGOTS) advances the state of the art in vulnerability research for modern complex systems by developing novel techniques and technologies related to the creation, modification, modeling, and analysis of exploit chains, and on the use of exploit chains as tools for establishing system-centric assessments of security posture. The program includes establishing foundational theory for exploit chains, manual and automated synthesis, exploring mutability, scaling analysis, and developing system-centric models and forecasting for exploit chains. Work is organized into three 12-MONTH phases: phase I focuses on foundational theory and manual synthesis, phase II explores exploit chain mutability and scaling analysis, and phase III emphasizes full automation, forecasting, and program hackathons. TA1 focuses on exploit chain synthesis and automation, TA2 on compositional and functional analysis, analysis at scale, system-centric exploit chain analysis, and forecasting, while TA3 addresses test, evaluation, and testbed development.
