Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., Huntsville, Alabama, is being awarded a $80,648,725 competitive, fixed-price-incentive-firm-target contract for the modified ballistic re-entry vehicle/re-entry vehicle separation modules, including: development; production; storage and surveillance; maintenance of delivered hardware and software; and transportation of end items to the designated launch vehicle provider. Options include additional quantity, integration, analysis, and mission support. The contract will be incrementally funded and fiscal 2017 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $8,000,000 are being obligated at the time of award. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Alabama. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition that was posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website, and two proposals were received.
