Dec 2015:
a.i. solutions Inc., Lanham, Maryland, was awarded a $73,416,096 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with options for technical, engineering, advisory, and management support quality and mission assurance. This contract provides for the development, implementation, sustainment, and execution of both Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) and program-level quality and mission assurance policies, requirements and programs. This includes the BMDS and program-level system quality assurance risk management process; the quality assurance conduct of system demonstration activities to include flight and ground tests; and system fielding, operations, and sustainment at both the BMDS and program levels. This support also includes functional areas such as parts, materials and processes; configuration management; test anomaly identification, reporting, and tracking; manufacturing supporting the BMDS and program-level technical risk identification and management process; and supporting successful conduct of system demonstration activities to include flight and ground test at BMDS levels. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Alabama; National Capital Region, Virginia; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; Dahlgren, Virginia; Tucson, Arizona; Ft. Greely, Alaska; Joplin, Missouri; Vandenberg Air Force Base, California; and Orlando, Florida, with an expected completion date of Dec. 17, 2018. Fiscal 2016 research and development funds in the amount of $2,957,950 are being obligated at time of award.
