Government Description
Under this contract, the contractor furnishes all materials, labor, equipment, and facilities necessary to manufacture Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) target systems, and provides integrated logistics support including inventory storage and maintenance management. The work includes pre- and post-mission analysis, target launch preparation and execution, and support for Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) modeling, simulation, and engineering services. Additional efforts cover the manufacture and provision of intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) target systems and capability upgrade kits, execution and completion of flight tests, planning and analysis for new test object development, integration of IRBM/ICBM targets, and a wide range of related engineering, analysis, and support services as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The scope of work also includes the design, manufacture, integration, and testing of target system components such as bulkheads, carriage extraction systems, antennas, transmitters, inertial measurement units, rocket motors, ordnance devices, parachute and descent systems, telemetry systems, power supplies, batteries, pressure vessels, and associated hardware, as well as wind tunnel testing, failure analysis, and engineering consulting services related to IRBM and ICBM targets.
