Federal student aid's virtual data center, providing centralized hosting and management of electronic data and computer applications, and related services to support federal student aid mission of servicing student loans. Includes Operations And Maintenance (O&M) of the Next Generation Data Center (NGDC), hosting upwards of 80 software applications and a complex middleware infrastructure, and providing hardware and software maintenance, renewals, and support for a wide range of enterprise software and hardware products. Additional tasks include cybersecurity operations and support, security audits (such as ssae 18 soc 1 type II), security training, cloud consulting and integration, software license renewals (including citrix, ibm, red hat, micro focus, vmware, forcepoint, firemon, cyberark, and others), hardware upgrades, and support for data migrations and decommissioning activities. The contract also covers the implementation and support of advanced security tools, network operations, and professional services for ongoing technology initiatives and compliance requirements.
