Government Description
Nuclear weapon effects west coast facility simulator Program. Includes Support for The Development And Application Of Various Simulators And Related Equipment and Diagnostics, Including Double Eagle (DE), Pithon, Modular Bremsstrahlung Source (MBS), Short-Pulse Gamma (SPG), Pulserad 1150 (PR1150), quad eagle, and pithon II. The contractor is responsible for enhancing simulator functionality and availability for research, development, test and evaluation to ensure critical defense systems meet Nuclear Hardening and Survivability (NH&S) requirements as mandated by DOD instruction 3150.09 and USSTRATCOM instruction 501-2. Additional tasks include R&D to improve nwe capabilities, engineering and scientific testing support to dtra and other defense programs, and support for disposition of dtra-owned equipment via dismantlement or transfer if required.
