Government Description
Modeling and Simulation Software (M&S) Development, Operation, And Sustainment (DOS) includes the design, analysis, development, operation, and sustainment of both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) software products to improve the nuclear enterprise's analytic and decision-making capabilities. Tasks involve updating, refining, and developing new software tools for Department of Defense (DOD) analysis needs, integrating and maintaining software, performing verification and validation, and providing documentation. Additional work includes supporting studies and analyses, developing analytical models and databases to address nuclear weapons system survivability, effects, and surety, and generating validation data SETS for nuclear blast effects to validate Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) nuclear effects tools using both low and high fidelity codes.

Peerless Technologies Corp., Fairborn, Ohio, has been awarded a $21,548,076 bilateral modification (P00027) to previously awarded task order FA9422-18-F-6019 for modeling and simulation software development, operation, and sustainment. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $46,363,016. Work will be performed in Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 26, 2027. Fiscal 2023 research, development, test and evaluation funds are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, New Mexico, is the contracting activity.
