Surveillance, Intelligence, And Reconnaissance Enhanced Networks (SIREN) provides autonomous, multi-modal, space-based sensing capabilities for persistent tactical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. Includes radiometric and radiation characterizations of focal plane arrays (FPAS) and associated devices, as well as the development of innovative characterization and analytical techniques, test hardware, and operational and test procedures to advance the experimental capabilities of the infrared radiation effects laboratory (IRREL). Additionally, the effort involves developing a theoretical model for quantum-statistical effects of an optical wave interacting with the electron/hole system in a doped gallium arsenide chip.
