Abstract
Our proposed product, which we have chosen to name CypressDB, stands at the forefront of data integration, addressing the complex needs set forth in AF241-0010. It uniquely combines decades of aircraft survivability and ballistics testing data, harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to transform a vast array of historical data into a unified, analysis-ready format. At its core, CypressDB operates through a three-phase process: it starts by ingesting raw data, then employs innovative technology configurations to transform this data, and finally, synchronizes it within a dual-database system. This process is made efficient and effective by integrating several key technologies: Optical Character Recognition (OCR) digitizes archived documents, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Understanding (NLU) extract and interpret valuable information, and Generative AI ensures data consistency. The system utilizes advanced NoSQL and Vector database technologies, balancing the preservation of historical data value with its relevance for contemporary analysis. What truly distinguishes CypressDB is its ability to streamline varied historical data into a format that s both accessible and useful for modern analysis. This strategic approach in data management not only marks a milestone in data engineering but also demonstrates its capability in adapting historical data for current and future analytical needs. CypressDB's adaptability extends beyond scientific research, offering significant commercial applications, particularly in the commercial aviation maintenance sector. Its flexible architecture and AI-driven data processing capabilities make it a versatile tool for any field requiring extensive data analysis. It showcases potential for wide-ranging use, from scientific endeavors to practical industry applications, all while continuing to evolve to meet the specific requirements of the Air Force.
Research Objective
