Government Description
Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) site 2 production involves the design, integration, and testing of the second DARC radar site, utilizing a pseudo-monostatic ground-based radar system with a coherent array of steerable parabolic antennas. This includes complete fielding of sites 2 and 3, contractor logistics support for operations at all three sites and the Mission Operations Center (MOC), and training of operations and maintenance personnel. Key tasks encompass production and installation of twenty-seven 15-METER dish antennas, initiation of Architecture And Engineering (A&E) design, and scientific and technical consulting services. The contract also covers ordering long-lead materials for the antennas, site construction, and initiating A&E design to enable integration and test activities, with site 2 located within the european command area of responsibility through a partnership with the United Kingdom.
