Qubitekk Inc., Bakersfield, California, was awarded a $21,100,244 cost-plus fixed-fee type Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract for Air Force Research Laboratory Quantum Network. This contract provides for research and development in quantum networking to establish secure and robust systems for the Air Force and the Air Force Research Laboratory. Work will be performed at Vista, California; and Rome, New York, and is expected to be completed by Feb. 18, 2028. This contract was a competitive acquisition; offers were solicited electronically via an open broad agency announcement and then later determined to be a SBIR Phase III, and one offer was received.
