Government Description
Gtri Autonomous Technology Exploratory Research (GATER) supports research in accordance with the multi-spectral sensing technologies research and development broad agency announcement. This effort includes research and development of Electro-Optical (EO) and Radio Frequency (RF) sensors across fifteen areas such as antenna technologies, rf sensor systems, waveform phenomenology, ultra-sensitive receivers, eo/ir sensor technology, hyperspectral imaging, standoff high resolution imaging, infrared search and track technology, passive eo/ir space-based sensing, laser radar imaging, sensor information processing and integration, fully adaptive radar, radar-communications co-existence for enabling 5G technologies and beyond, and advanced digital multifunction arrays. The work addresses modeling, simulation, design, test, and evaluation of rf and eo subsystems and sensors for use in offensive, defensive, and integrated systems, with a focus on advancing detection, tracking, data fusion, situational awareness, and autonomous or semi-autonomous sensor capabilities for air, space, and C2 sensor systems.
