MARSS II TO 3. THIS EFFORT INCLUDES MATERIALS TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT FOR DIRECTED ENERGY WEAPON COMPONENTS AND SUB-SYSTEMS, SUCH AS DEVELOPING SOFTWARE FOR 3D TOPOLOGY OPTIMIZATION OF OPTICAL METASURFACES AND CREATING FRONTEND CODE IN MATLAB AND PYTHON TO INTERFACE WITH COMPUTATIONAL ELECTROMAGNETICS (CEM) MODELING SOFTWARE. WORK ALSO INVOLVES ADVANCING CLADDING TECHNOLOGIES FOR SINGLE CRYSTAL FIBER LASERS (SCFS) USING HYPERBARIC-PRESSURE LASER CHEMICAL VAPOR DEPOSITION (HP-LCVD), DESIGNING MULTILAYER COATINGS WITH ENHANCED PIGMENT MODELING, AND DEVELOPING COMPUTATIONAL TOOLS FOR MODELING SPACE-TIME METASURFACES. ADDITIONAL TASKS INCLUDE DEMONSTRATION AND INTEGRATION OF DYNAMIC PLANAR OPTICAL COMPONENTS FOR MULTI-SPECTRAL IMAGING SYSTEMS, AND MATERIALS RESEARCH, CHARACTERIZATION, DEVICE DEVELOPMENT, AND MWIR DEW DESIGN TO SUPPORT FUTURE LASER INFRARED COUNTERMEASURES (LIRCM) ACQUISITION PROGRAMS.
