This contract provides for the development of advanced ceramic materials (including structural monolithic ceramics, ceramic matrix composites, and select functional ceramic materials), processes, and sophisticated computational models. Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 4, 2029. This contract was a sole source acquisition. Fiscal 2025 research, development test and evaluation funds in the amount of $600,000 are being obligated at the time of award.
