Title
Airloom Energy: Modular, Scalable Utility-Scale Wind Energy At A Fraction Of The Cost
Abstract
Airloom Energy is a cutting-edge wind energy generation company headquartered in Laramie, Wyoming that has the potential to dramatically disrupt the worldwide wind energy market. Airloom utilizes the proven aerodynamics of conventional horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWTs) but with unique geometry that drastically lowers the Levelized Cost Of Electricity (LCOE) and increases efficiency. Airloom uses less land, requires less infrastructure, and is made with massmanufacturable parts, resulting in cost, logistics, environmental and siting benefits across Airloom's entire lifecycle.
Research Objective
The goal of phase II is to continue the R&D efforts initiated in Phase I. Funding is based on the results achieved in Phase I and the scientific and technical merit and commercial potential of the project proposed in Phase II.
