Title
Print, Assemble, and Deliver: A Low-Cost Airborne Attritable Precision Delivery System
Abstract
Print, Assemble, and Deliver: A Low-Cost Airborne Attritable Precision Delivery System is a Research and Development effort to produce several deliverable prototypes to meet requirements related to the airdrop mission. The objective of the effort is to obtain the airworthiness of the system and demonstrate lateral offset and specific GPS and non-GPS levels of accuracy. The proposal outlines a Non-Defense Commercial offering currently in development for the Search and Rescue (SAR) and Firefighting markets and the required R&D and modifications. The system proposed can be used with rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft in pressurized and unpressurized exits via door, ramp, or common launch tube (CLT) on standard and non-standard aviation platforms for DAF.
Research Objective
The goal of phase II is to continue the R&D efforts initiated in Phase I. Funding is based on the results achieved in Phase I and the scientific and technical merit and commercial potential of the project proposed in Phase II.
