Title
Low Cost EMP Generation for Space Resiliency, Nuclear Threat Simulation, and Air Force Operational Readiness
Abstract
The Department of the Air Force must maintain constant and continued readiness across all spectrums of conflict from pre-conflict Phase 0 shape, Phase I deter, Phase II initiative, and Phase III dominate. US Forces are currently underserved with detailed understanding of the advanced and pacing threat, specifically red force nuclear and directed energy weapons. As such, the Air Force needs a low cost, portable, and variable energy output electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) generation to simulate likely threat scenarios and test the existing nuclear sensing architecture (Operational Imperative 7) but also continuously evaluate our Space and Air systems Order of Battle (Operational Imperative 1) and readiness for the high-end fight (Operational Imperative 7). Fuse Federal Enterprise is offering dual-use high and variable energy EMP solutions for testing and resiliency of blue forces to the Air Force Nuclear Enterprise, the Air Force Research Labs (Space Vehicles and Directed Energy Directorate), the Air Force Operational Test Center, Space Systems Command, as well as critical programs of record within the Life Cycle Management Center such as the B-21, Sentinel, nuclear command and control, E-4, and Presidential Airlift with radiation hardening and EMP resiliency requirements.????????
Research Objective
The goal of phase I is to establish the technical merit, feasibility, and commercial potential of proposed R&D efforts and determine the quality of performance of the small business awardee organization.
