Unlinkable Payments Using Zero Trust 5G Networks
Abstract
Private Tech proposes to partner with Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) to research strategies to achieve anonymous payment at scale for cellular services as part of a broader framework for anonymous, non-attributable commercial cellular service. AFSOC has an urgent need to reduce its signature when leveraging commercial communications infrastructure, both at home, and in contested or denied environments. Commercial cellular is highly available, redundant, and reliable. It can be a critical part of communications plans for all manner of operations, but it also carries major risks. Many of these risks overlap with the problems Private Tech solves with its consumer, privacy preserving mobile service offering.
Research Objective
The goal of phase I is to establish the technical merit, feasibility, and commercial potential of proposed R&D efforts and determine the quality of performance of the small business awardee organization.
