R34 Gigabit Multi-host Sensor Bridge
Abstract
Rogue discovered the need for the Gigabit Multi-host Sensor Bridge (GMSB) during the development of their Scalable Compute Platform (SCP) for Autonomous AI. The SCP required interfacing with Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI) and Camera Serial Interface (CSI) cameras and optical sensors, which presented complex challenges. Rogue found no existing interface that could simplify connections or enable a resilient multi-host configuration. The GMSB as a crucial component for rapid development and integration of cutting-edge cameras and optical sensors into satellite technology and will greatly reduce engineering and development time while enabling AI and autonomous applications in space.
Research Objective
The goal of phase I is to establish the technical merit, feasibility, and commercial potential of proposed R&D efforts and determine the quality of performance of the small business awardee organization.
