Abstract
AuresTech proposes to develop a novel technique to address AF critical mission for operating SWARM of Drones using secured communication in a GPS denied environment. Similar technologies have been proposed in an B5G NIWC RFP. Solution leverages LPD/LPI capability and 5G based high-data rate waveform through low-cost multi-beam phased array. We solved this critical challenge of AF by providing an integrated novel technology solutions using low cost MUMT approach where SWARM of drones can be operated by the commander remotely to operate in real time on received required information from the ground under operation . The solution is provided in two steps; low-cost phased array provides multi-casting featureless Chw with LPI/LPD capability is used for secured PLI update to each node and then dissemination of high-bit data rate information using an enhanced 3GPP infrastructure-less network. In the commercial sector it can be leveraged for autonomous vehicle, flying cars, mining operation and agricultural application where the small UAVs can operate remotely in the GPS denied environment. The anticipated benefits of this modular technology in the commercial and DoD are potentially huge because of it is cos-effective and platform agnostic which can be used in different applications without any major changes.
Research Objective
The goal of phase II is to continue the R&D efforts initiated in Phase I. Funding is based on the results achieved in Phase I and the scientific and technical merit and commercial potential of the project proposed in Phase II. STTRs are completed in conjunction with a research institution.
