Government Description
Design-build repair is for 353RD Special Operations Wing (SOW) operations facility building 3524 roof IAW SOW dated 22 may 2025. The project includes comprehensive repairs to the facility’s structural concrete spalling, roof, and mechanical and electrical systems. The concrete roof will be completely rebuilt with an anchoring system and seismic improvements, and insulation will be installed on the interior side of exterior walls and below the roof slab. Additional work includes replacement of ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, and fire protection systems, patching and repair of concrete spalling, structural repairs to concrete masonry unit load-bearing walls, replacement of interior doors, repairs to finishes including gypsum and drop ceilings, demolition and replacement of roof and concrete beams, select foundation footing improvements, and removal of rooftop penthouses for mechanical equipment; environmental compliance measures for hazardous materials such as Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) and Lead-Based Paint (LBP) will also be implemented.
