Government Description
AIR FORCE CIVIL ENGINEERING CENTER OPERATIONS SUPPORT. PROVIDES SUPPORT TO ALL PHASES OF THE CIVIL ENGINEER RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, AND ACQUISITION PROCESS AT TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE (AFB), INCLUDING PLANNING AND EXECUTING PROGRAMS FOR ACQUIRING SYSTEMS, EQUIPMENT, AND TECHNOLOGY FOR IN-GARRISON, EXPEDITIONARY, AND CONTINGENCY INSTALLATIONS AND AIR BASES. INCLUDES MANAGEMENT AND LABOR SUPPORT FOR BASELINE OPERATIONS CAPABILITY, CROSSCUTTING OPERATIONAL FUNCTIONS, MAINTENANCE OF FACILITIES AT TYNDALL AFB, AND ASSISTANCE WITH RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT TEST AND EVALUATION (RDT&E) PROJECTS AND EVENTS. THE CONTRACTOR IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING AFCEC READINESS DIRECTORATE, REQUIREMENTS AND ACQUISITION DIVISION (AFCEC/CXA) TEST RANGES AND FACILITIES, INCLUDING SPECIFIC BUILDINGS AND RESEARCH AREAS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE LAWS, REGULATIONS, AIR FORCE STANDARDS, POLICIES, AND COMMERCIAL PRACTICES.
