Abstract
Stratin Engineering proposes the development of the Wild Dog Tactical Long Range Strike UAS which is modular and adaptable to a range of carrier aircraft via the common launch tube (CLT). The Wild Dog is a self-propelled, self-guided, flying munition that will launch from a Group 3 to Group 5 UAS or manned aircraft and accurately navigate to and engage a moving target up to 20 km away without the need for additional human input once the target has been specified. To address rapid qualification and fielding of our proposed technology, Stratin will utilize high TRL systems and subsystems. The Wild Dog will be built on a modified airframe of a Group 2 UAV platform that was previously developed. The crux of the innovation will be the development and implementation of Stratin's cutting-edge UAV mission computer which is optimized for Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP), making it extremely efficient for image processing and flight control. ???????The fundamental goal of the proposed Phase II effort is to successfully and quickly design, develop, and demonstrate the Wild Dog Tactical Long Range Strike system, ensuring it meets or exceeds specified performance criteria and integrates with existing SOCOM operations, thereby enhancing the precision, flexibility, and effectiveness of autonomous long-range munition capabilities in various combat scenarios. In summary, the Wild Dog Tactical Long Range Strike UAS project is poised to deliver a versatile, highly capable system that addresses urgent operational needs, leveraging advanced technologies to ensure success in a wide range of combat scenarios. The development strategy, centered on rapid innovation and collaborative expertise, underscores Stratin Engineering's commitment to enhancing long-range strike munition capabilities, with a keen eye on future scalability and commercial applications.
Research Objective
The goal of phase II is to continue the R&D efforts initiated in Phase I. Funding is based on the results achieved in Phase I and the scientific and technical merit and commercial potential of the project proposed in Phase II. STTRs are completed in conjunction with a research institution.
