Rel peer review. All rel applied research and development products are required to undergo rigorous external peer review as a critical component of the quality assurance process at ies. This includes reviewing rel research proposals and products to assure alignment with ncee standards and goals, refining and improving review criteria and procedures, providing guidance for the improvement of rel products, updating the rel writers and style guide, editing and producing rel products, presenting webinars for rel staff as needed, conducting as-needed analytic and methods-oriented projects, and conducting peer review of applied research activities, research-based reports, and products produced by the ten regional educational laboratories (RELS).
