The purpose of this action is to award the Regional Educational Laboratory Program (REL), 2022-2027 cycle for nei REL. Includes conducting applied research and development, designing and implementing training, coaching, and technical support activities to build capacity for data use, and supporting governing board meetings and collaborations with other federally funded centers. Specific tasks involve randomized controlled trials of professional development programs for english learners in Connecticut, training to build capacity for evidence-based literacy strategies in Massachusetts, cost-effectiveness studies in Rhode Island, early literacy initiatives in Massachusetts, strengthening the early childhood workforce in the US Virgin Islands, and developing dashboards and progress monitoring tools to increase high school graduation rates in Rhode Island and examine teacher shortages in New York. The program prioritizes equity-focused principles, inclusion practices, and empowering vulnerable individuals and communities.
