Government Description
Design and construction of the NASA Space Launch System (SLS) Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) includes engineering design services, fabrication and installation of structural and miscellaneous steel, module fabrication, assembly of enclosures, installation of HVAC and cooling systems, electrical supply and raceway components, piping and fittings, launch equipment, and qualification testing. Additional tasks involve technical services support, stormwater system design, fire detection and alarm design services, and provision of construction equipment, temporary buildings, and site development. The work also encompasses assembly and installation of electrical and communication equipment, panel assemblies, cable management, weather instruments, painting and coatings, metrology and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) services, crane and forklift operations, fabrication and transport of steel plates and pipe supports, and technical services in support of connection and vehicle stabilizer design. Further activities include module fabrication, construction elevator installation, HVAC maintenance, chemical cleaning design services, and third-party testing.
