Overview
Government Description
The purpose of this contract is to acquire scientific research services that conceive, develop, and apply space, field-deployed (I.E. Airborne and in situ), and laboratory-based technologies and observations of the earth systems. Includes support for satellite remote sensing instrument development, field and aircraft instruments, and activities for measuring earth, oceanic, biospheric, and atmospheric processes. Scientific and engineering support is provided for the design, development, and testing of remote sensors and sensor systems, including mechanical, electronic, optical, laser, electro-optical, and data system engineering. These services address issues such as water resources, land and ocean ecosystem health, global and regional sea level change, natural hazards, changes in the earth's cryosphere, gravity field, magnetic field, solid earth, topography, reference frames, and the effects of climate change on life on earth.
