Government Description
The etis III contract will provide environmental test and integration related services for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) Engineering And Technology Directorate (ETD) mechanical systems division and related organizations for the formulation, design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification, and operations of spaceflight and ground system hardware and software, including development and validation of new technologies to enable future space and science missions. Work performed includes providing comprehensive environmental test capabilities to ensure spacecraft and flight experiments withstand launch and operate properly in the space environment, as well as supporting technology and flight mission development through facility upgrades, hardware fabrication, cleanroom operations, technical consulting, metrology, and specialized component manufacturing. Additional tasks involve maintenance and repair of critical testing equipment and facilities, software and it support, calibration services, and the design and fabrication of mission-specific hardware such as cryopanels, payload interface plates, and thermal blankets. The etis III program also advances state-of-the-art space flight systems through ongoing improvements and management of one of the most complete environmental test and integration complexes within the U.S. Government.
