The CCC oversees classification of cardiovascular and fatal outcomes, develops outcome classification procedures, trains physician adjudicators, and mentors new investigators, while also managing a biorepository holding over 5 million vials in ultra-low temperature freezers with comprehensive monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery systems. Additional activities include coordination of home exams and biomarker collection for the Long Life Study 2 (LLS2), management of heart failure case adjudication using a web-based data entry system, and maintenance of secure, validated systems for specimen tracking and reporting.
