Government Description
Usaid Liberia essa seeks to build a more capable education system that functions better at county and district levels to drive, measure and incentivize delivery of quality and inclusive education. The project supports the ministry of education (MOE) in using Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA) to catalyze change and generate sustainable local solutions to persistent challenges in information systems (IR1), Resource Management (IR2), And Accountability (IR3). Activities include equipping the emis lab with ict resources, providing solar power to county education offices, empowering county and district education officers, supporting implementation of the education reform act of 2011, and piloting locally developed solutions for data use, performance management, and accountability. Technical assistance is provided to improve data collection and analysis, strengthen planning and resource management, define staff roles and standards, and pilot tools and models to enhance teacher and administrator performance, particularly in remote locations.
