Government Description
The leading organizational capacity and localization development (LOCAL) activity is to support the organizational capacity of current usaid/Zambia LOCAL implementing partners to manage, implement, and monitor programs. The activity provides LOCAL zambian partners with support for operations, income generation, and advocacy, building on lessons learned from previous capacity building initiatives and successful models across usaid and usaid/Zambia. Key tasks include increasing LOCAL partners' capacity for risk identification, mitigation, and compliance to financial and operational best practices; enhancing resource mobilization and funding diversification for organizational sustainability; and improving networking, communication, monitoring, evaluation, and learning capacities. The work also involves assessing LOCAL organizations and co-developing capacity strengthening plans tailored to their needs.
