Government Description
Future (FTF) Bangladesh inclusive access to finance activity aims to generate a sustainable increase in lending volume to the agricultural sector that is additional and with positive development impact, facilitating financing to agricultural micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMES), including Farmers. The Activity Provides Technical Assistance And Services To Implement Three Integrated, Demand-Driven Approaches: Designing, Deploying, And Embedding Smart Incentives Among Financial Institutions (FIS); building strategic partnerships among fis and value chain players; and advancing inclusive credit policies through institutionalized public-private engagement. These interventions will result in $448M in lending to 52,300 farmers and 2,120 msmes, catalyzing systemic change in the agricultural credit market and making agricultural credit more sustainable, climate resilient, and inclusive for underserved groups such as women, youth, first-time borrowers, indigenous and ethnic minorities, and the lgbtqi+ community.
