Strengthening infectious disease detection system (STRIDES) activity. Under this activity, technical services provided to support the development of sustainable surveillance systems and structures, strengthen detection capacity and systems at national and subnational levels for both human and animal laboratory networks, and increase access to quality laboratory services for diseases of public health importance. Includes providing targeted in-person technical assistance, developing event-based (EBS) and Indicator-Based Surveillance (IBS) systems, and supporting host country capacity in data collection, analysis, and reporting for actionable disease prevention and response decision making. Additional efforts include providing technical surveillance and detection assistance during outbreaks, with a primary focus on the 50 Global Health Security (GHS) partner countries.
