Government Description
The purpose of the usaid Investments In Developing Energy Assets (IDEA) activity is to improve regional energy supply security, reliability and efficiency through supporting investments in all segments of the energy sector, including heat and power generation. Work performed includes technical analysis of legal issues, Environmental And Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) for specific sites, development of a Gender Lens Investing (GLI) action plan, feasibility studies for energy projects such as wind farms, and balkan coordination between stakeholders. Additional tasks involve assisting to locate investments, providing logistical support, consulting services, and establishing criteria for project eligibility and downstream decision-making, as well as canvassing investors to determine project interests and market attractiveness.
