This project improves access to the bighorn national forest and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands through roadway rehabilitation, widening, and minor roadway realignment of red grade road (county road 26/usfs route FSR 26), addressing substandard roadway conditions, geometrics, and safety issues. Includes approximately 2.6 miles of construction with large cuts, retaining walls, drainage improvements, and the rehabilitation of aspen’s parking lot, as well as minor horizontal and vertical realignments to improve sight distance and roadway geometry in mountainous terrain.
