NEW CONTRACT TO PROVIDE FOR CRASH INVESTIGATION, PAR COLLECTION, AND DATA CODING AT 32 CRASH INVESTIGATION SAMPLING SYSTEM (CISS) SITES. INCLUDES EXPANSION OF CISS BY ADDING ADDITIONAL PRIMARY SAMPLING UNITS (PSUS) AND NEW CRASH TYPES AS PART OF THE NORMAL CISS SAMPLED CASELOAD, AS WELL AS THE ADDITION OF A THIRD CRASH TECHNICIAN AT TEN PSUS. THE CONTRACT ALSO COVERS SPECIAL STUDIES SUCH AS SAMPLING SUPPORT AND AREA DOCUMENTATION, ADJUSTMENT OF ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN LEVELS, AND THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT TO SUPPORT FIELD PERSONNEL WORKING UNDER THE PSU OPERATIONS CENTER.
