This is a request for proposal (DESIGN-BUILD) project no. Pr er prmnt rpr(1), located in the municipality of canovanas, Puerto Rico, in strict accordance with the solicitation/contract instructions, notices, clauses, provisions, items listed below. The work involves the design and construction (REPLACEMENT) of bridge number 606 on route PR-962 and bridge number 653 on route PR-957, both over the canovanas river, replacing the existing modular bridges with concrete bridges. Tasks include new roadway alignment, geotechnical subsurface exploration and laboratory testing, foundation design and construction, bridge approach work, retaining walls, temporary traffic control, right-of-way acquisition, temporary and permanent erosion sediment control, utility investigation and relocations, scour design and countermeasures, and other miscellaneous work. The bridges are located in the FEMA zone AE mapped floodplain.
