Abstract
The project addresses the development of predictive maintenance software for municipal transportation buses in the USA. The research stems from Preteckt's previous success in developing and commercially deploying similar technology to over-the-road trucking fleets. Success in this project will determine the ideal target bus subsystems to develop predictive maintenance software for when looking at value created to transit systems and data availability. Further, the project will deliver an algorithm which works on a small set of buses with the ability to improve the algorithm in future projects.
Research Objective
The goal of phase I is to establish the technical merit, feasibility, and commercial potential of proposed R&D efforts and determine the quality of performance of the small business awardee organization.
