Funds construction project: AK pfh 58(1), neck lake road reconstruction: npowi hwy. To marine access facility jct. Includes excavation, rock blasting, embankment, grading, drainage, retaining wall, and guardrail. Additional work consists of sub-excavation, soft ground embankment construction (SURCHARGE), riprap placement, rockery construction, installation of drainage including large aquatic organism pipes, embankment settlement monitoring, placement of aggregate surface course, erosion control, temporary traffic control, permanent signage, and turf establishment. The project is divided into three bid schedules with road reconstruction lengths of 1.6, 2.0, and 2.4 miles, respectively, and is located on prince of wales island, Alaska, approximately 45 miles northwest of coffman cove in the hyder census area.
