Funds construction project MT flap bor 2980(1), sun river bridge replacement. Project includes construction of a 3 span, 462-FOOT long precast-post-tensioned girder bridge with a precast concrete deck. The work involves building a new bridge approximately 200 feet downstream from the existing bridge, with new approach roadways on embankments and Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) wall approaches. Abutments are founded on both spread footings and piles within an MSE wall fill, piers are supported on 10-FOOT diameter drilled shafts, and final surfacing consists of gravel for the approaches and concrete on the bridge; the work may also include demolition of the existing steel truss bridge upon completion of the new structure.
