The LCMS is a cloud-based solution used by FEMA's Emergency Management Institute (EMI) and the National Training and Education Division (NTED) to collaboratively develop, author, review, and manage over 600 specialized emergency management training courses. The system supports content authoring, rapid development, content import, and enables subject matter experts to provide review comments and make inline edits directly to course materials. Finalized courses are exported into various formats, including instructor guides, student manuals (MS WORD), powerpoint visuals, scorm, and html, and the LCMS is hosted in a fedramp authorized environment with section 508 accessibility compliance.
