INCLUDES CONSTRUCTION OF A TWO-STORY ADDITION CONNECTING TO BUILDING 1 AT THE FIRST FLOOR (COURTYARD LEVEL) OF THE WEST HAVEN VA MEDICAL CENTER (VAMC), WITH THE FIRST FLOOR HOUSING THE NEW INPATIENT PHARMACY AND THE SECOND FLOOR CONTAINING THE MECHANICAL ROOM. TASKS INVOLVE GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF EXISTING SITE ELEMENTS, REMOVAL AND MITIGATION OF ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIALS (ACM) AND LEAD BASED PAINT (LBP), CIVIL AND SITEWORK INCLUDING UTILITY RELOCATION, INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL, TELECOMMUNICATIONS, AND SECURITY SYSTEMS, MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, AND FIRE PROTECTION WORK, COMMISSIONING OF ALL SYSTEMS, ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES, AND MAINTAINING ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS AS PER FEDERAL REGULATIONS.
