GURNEY VAN TRANSPORTATION SERVICES PROVIDED FOR VETERAN PATIENTS AT THE VA SAN DIEGO HEALTHCARE SYSTEM (VASDHS) AND ITS COMMUNITY-BASED OUTPATIENT CLINICS (CBOCS), AVAILABLE 24/7 INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. THE CONTRACTOR SUPPLIES ALL VEHICLES, PERSONNEL, MANAGEMENT, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT, AND NECESSARY REPORTING FOR GURNEY VAN TRANSPORTS, ACCOMMODATING PATIENTS WITH ASSISTIVE DEVICES SUCH AS CANES, CRUTCHES, WALKERS, WHEELCHAIRS (POWERED AND NON-POWERED), ELECTRIC SCOOTERS, AND PORTABLE OXYGEN EQUIPMENT. SERVICES INCLUDE BARIATRIC TRANSPORTATION FOR INDIVIDUALS WEIGHING 250 POUNDS OR MORE WITH SPECIALLY EQUIPPED VEHICLES AND TRAINED PERSONNEL, STAIR TRANSPORT CHAIR SERVICE FOR SAFE MOVEMENT UP AND DOWN STAIRS, AND TRANSPORT OF PATIENT LUGGAGE, MEDICAL RECORDS, MEDICATION, AND COMFORT ITEMS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. ALL SERVICES PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH VA REQUIREMENTS TO SUPPORT SAFE AND RELIABLE PATIENT MOBILITY AND ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE.
