Government Description
REPLACE AND UPGRADE BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEM (BAS). THE CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE ALL SUPERVISION, LABOR, MATERIALS, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, EXPERTISE, AND TRANSPORTATION NECESSARY TO REPLACE AND UPGRADE BAS IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOVERNMENT-PROVIDED CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. INCLUDES MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, ARCHITECTURAL, AND STRUCTURAL TASKS, MUST ADHERE TO THE LATEST VA SPECIFICATIONS, VA STANDARDS, ENERGY CONSERVATION METHODS, AND COMPLY WITH EPA, OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, LIFE SAFETY CODE, UBC, LOCAL, FEDERAL, AND INDUSTRY REGULATIONS, AND MUST BE PERFORMED WITHOUT AFFECTING MEDICAL CENTER OPERATIONS. WORK WILL BE PERFORMED AT THE MICHAEL E. DEBAKEY VA MEDICAL CENTER IN HOUSTON, TEXAS, AND INCLUDES ALL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO REPLACE AND UPGRADE THE BAS AS OUTLINED IN THE GOVERNMENT-PROVIDED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
