Janitorial services. Provides all labor, materials, supplies, management, and supervision necessary to perform janitorial services at the W.G. Bill hefner VA Medical Center (VAMC) in salisbury, NC, including administrative and patient care areas. Services include general/basic cleaning by a minimum of ten Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) housekeepers for administrative areas and ten FTE housekeepers for patient care areas, with tasks such as carpet extraction/shampoo, stripping/waxing floors, three-step disinfections, terminal cleaning, and Ultra-Violet (UV) sterilization, especially for areas with highly infectious materials or patients with infectious diseases. Additionally, two FTE patient care cleaning shift non-working supervisors and two FTE team leaders are required, and all cleaning and disinfection procedures must follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance and local direction from svamc infection prevention and control officials.
