Government Description
Replace main emd-cooling towers at the james J. Peters dva medical center, bronx, NY. The project includes replacing two existing 4160-VOLT generators with new 2.8-MW tier 4F generators and installing new dry coolers on the roof of a newly constructed addition. Renovations to the motor pool building will accommodate new electrical switchgear, and the scope encompasses demolition, structural modifications, installation of fire suppression and alarm systems compliant with nfpa standards, plumbing and electrical upgrades, and commissioning of all systems. All work must meet VA Physical Security and Resiliency Design Manual (PSRDM) mitigation measures, including safety and security enhancements, and will involve comprehensive field testing and coordination as specified in contract documents.
