Government Description
NEW CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,019,100.00 FOR MOBILE SCANNERS, WARRANTY, MAINTENANCE, AND TRAINING, WITH A PERFORMANCE PERIOD OF 08/25/2025 THROUGH 08/24/2026. THIS REQUIREMENT IS IN SUPPORT OF THE INL SECTION AT THE U.S. EMBASSY SAN JOSE. THE WORK INVOLVES THE PURCHASE OF TWO MOBILE SCANNING SOLUTIONS AND COMPLEMENTARY COMPONENTS FOR DEPLOYMENT AT DESIGNATED POINTS IN COSTA RICA, INCLUDING PORTS OF ENTRY, TO SUPPORT THE COSTA RICAN BORDER POLICE (CRPF) UNDER THE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC SECURITY. THE EQUIPMENT IS DESIGNED FOR RAPID FIELD DEPLOYMENT, OPERATES IN BOTH STATIONARY AND MOBILE SCAN MODES, PROVIDES PHOTOREALISTIC IMAGING VIA BACKSCATTER AND TRANSMISSION TECHNOLOGY, AND IS SUITABLE FOR VEHICLE INSPECTION TO DETECT NARCOTICS, CONTRABAND, WEAPONS, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, AND OTHER ILLICIT ACTIVITIES IN DIVERSE WEATHER AND GEOGRAPHIC CONDITIONS.
