Government Description
The Department of the Interior (DOI), Interior Business Center (IBC), acquisition services directorate (AQD), on behalf of the Department of Defense (DOD), Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) in New Mexico is seeking a contract to repair tunnel 7 for DTRA at the WSMR alternate seismic hardrock in situ test site (ALT-SHIST). Includes all necessary site preparations, site improvements, safing, and restoration and modification of the structure for both pre- and post-testing. The contractor will repair a d-shape tunnel and overburden using the d-shape of 20 feet depth and width inside the tunnel, remove and repair any damage to the ribs, crown, and invert of tunnel 7, and provide general construction support to instrument the tunnel in preparation for testing and then safe the tunnel for re-entry post-testing.
