Government Description
Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) Ground Sustainment Services (LGSS) provides sustainment of the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Common Ground Services (CGS) while accommodating enhancements and additions to NOAA’s existing LEO satellite constellations and partner missions. Work performed includes continued maintenance and support of the JPSS CGS, modernization and development for future missions, and multiple increments of re-architecting and system refreshes. Tasks also involve hardware and software maintenance, license renewals, engineering support, staff augmentation, and technical support to ensure the ongoing operation and advancement of NOAA’s LEO satellite ground infrastructure. Additional work includes procurement and renewal of hardware, software, and support services such as warranty renewals, cybersecurity software, network hardware, backup solutions, engineering staff augmentation, and technical maintenance for both U.S. And international NOAA ground system equipment.
