Government Description
Fairbanks Command and Data Acquisition Station (FCDAS) operations and maintenance services. Includes acquiring meteorological and environmental satellite mission data from polar-orbiting satellites managed by NOAA, as well as mission systems operations and maintenance, risk management, it system support including security, facilities systems operation and maintenance, environmental safety and health management, property management logistics, security guard services, and management administrative requirements. Contractor personnel are responsible for installing, operating, and repairing specialized satellite ground station equipment, and maintaining the site's buildings, vehicles, roads, and infrastructure to support satellite operations. FCDAS must remain operational 24X7X365 as a national critical asset, including during emergencies and inclement weather.
